If you’ve brought your own paddleboards, the canal is a brilliant place to explore straight from Kintbury, with calm water and lovely views in both directions. If you don’t have your own, you can hire boards in either Hungerford or Newbury, or book onto a guided tour with a local company that runs paddleboard trips along the canal.
